Thanks So Much for Your Interest in Visiting Us!
We are not open to the public. However, we do have open houses periodically & some volunteer opportunities. Please check here or on Facebook for upcoming dates for open houses & volunteer days.
General Guidelines for Visitors:
Visiting Experience
Please note that for the well being of the sanctuary’s residents, whose needs are our primary concern, we can only allow children over 6 to visit the sanctuary & all children under 13 must be supervised for the entire of the visit
- We are sorry but we also can’t allow dogs at the sanctuary, as chickens are prey animals and even well behaved dogs can frighten the chickens and pose a threat to them.
- When visiting, for the safety of all, please do not touch the animals without specific permission. Some of the animals here like to be held or petted, but some don’t.
- Also, picking up animals can easily result in serious injuries, so we ask that visitors only touch or hold the animals if given specific permission to do so.
- The sanctuary has a strict vegan policy. No animal products are allowed at the sanctuary.
Volunteering Experience
Thanks so much for your interest in helping us out at the sanctuary. Due to limited time and resources, we don’t currently have a one-time volunteer program in place for individuals, but we do have occasional volunteer days for special projects. Please check here or visit the Facebook page for details.
- Groups: If you are interested in volunteering for a half-day (10-2, or 11-3) with a group of 4 or more, please contact us and we can set something up!
- If you are interested in volunteering on a recurring basis (weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly), please contact us.
- While our in person visits are limited, you can always check in on what’s happening at the sanctuary and get to know our residents by following us on Facebook and Instagram!
